Couture Creations 2

Cardmakers Treasure Box
By Sue Smyth

Hi all
Today I am sharing a cardmakers box.
You can make one or use a pre puchased box to decorate.

This time to alter my Magnolia Flower I have wicked the colour
onto the petals.

Spritz paper magnolia with water.
Spray a glimmer mist or ink onto a Couture Creations
craft sheet to form a puddle.
Slowly drag the petals into the puddle allowing the
ink to follow the water in the flower.
Dry quickly.
Use a yellow copic or pen to colour the stamens.
Then spray adhesive all over flower and
dip into white glitter.

Die cut the smallest Scallop oval from white cardstock
it is the perfect fit for the oval cabochons.

To make the perky butterfly.

Roughly cut out a butterfly.
Adhere to a scrap of white cardstock.
Then fussy cut butterfly.
Ink edges with Victorian Velvet distress ink.
Smear over Dimensional magic
and sprinkle with a little (not a lot ) of
white glitter.
When dry adhere to top of box with strong
glue along the body only
leaving the wings free to be
folded upwards.

Decorate the circular frame around the
elegant lady with Couture Creations 3mm pearls.
Use a piercing tool to remove from acetate
sheet, and adhere to paper with a little
dot of extra glue for a long term secure bond.

Trim out the Magnolia label.
Cover with Dimensional magic and
sprinkle with a little (not a lot) white glitter for a soft sparkly look

Make cards with the left over papers,

Place them all in the box

Tie up with a tie dyed ribbon

To make a wonderful gift for a non crafty person
