Peacock Box

Peacock Trinket Box
By Sue Smyth

Little gift boxes are always a great project and
so well appreciated by the recipient as they can
keep the box as a decor piece.

To create this little box, I have used a black pre cut box. Then covered
the sides with embossed cardstock.
Here is how I decorated it

To cover the sides I have embossed white cardstock
 with peacock fans embossing folder.

Spray with selection of peacock coloured spray inks.

Rub over with black ink.

Allow to dry and dry brush gold paint over the raised areas.
when dry trim to fit the sides of the box.

To decorate

Cut a scalloped oval from black cardstock and a nested oval from
purple cardstock, dry brush edges with gold paint.
Attach to top of box with 3 d Foam tape.

Affix gold rhinestones to scallop as pictured.

Die cut peacock feathers from lightweight cardstock
or recycled cereal boxes. Paint with white gesso and dry.

Apply peacock coloured dimensional pearl paints
Feel free to mix together colours like purple, green and royal blue.
Allow to dry.
Then smear over Gold Glitz in Glamour glitter glue for
sparkle.

Attach feathers with 3 D dimensional tape, and add a glittery button, bow or accent.
